DoD ITSM is a set of specialized organizational capabilities to manage information technology (IT) services through a set of defined, repeatable, measurable, implemented, and integrated processes that control the quality, performance, and reliability of the services (DoD Instruction 8440.01). It applies to all IT services – from simple web services to complex infrastructure – and applies at all organizational levels – from the installation level to the DoD enterprise level. |
